Roar Lindland joins Team Tidö for 2013 STCC
Norwegian Roar Lindland takes over the seat from Linus Ohlsson, who has signed for Volvo, at Team Tidö for the 2013 STCC.
“It is going to be a challenge, STCC is one of the toughest championships in the world and you have to have the margins on your side,” said Lindland.
The 35-year-old has raced Porsches for the last couple of years, finishing fourth in the Porsche Carrera Cup Scandinavia 2010 and 2011 and claiming the GT Cup title last year.
“We have strengthened our team ahead of this season with a good driver in the form of Roar Lindland and we have added new resources for the maintenance of the team. We are ready to take the next step in our development and really establish our selves as a top team in Swedish racing,” said David von Schinkel, Team Manager of Team Tidö.
Team Tidö ran a Saab 9-3 TTA as a satellite team to Flash Engineering for Linus Ohlsson in the TTA last year, with Ohlsson finishing second overall.
Lindland becomes the tenth driver to be confirmed for the 2013 STCC.
