Picko Troberg Racing supports STCC in SBF war
Picko Troberg Racing is the first team to voice an opinion in the heated situation between the STCC organisation and Swedish Automobile Sports Federation (SBF).
“Picko Troberg Racing is for sure standing on STCC’s side in the arisen situation. The ones who control the federation, the so called “blue jackets”, are way off course and this is an initiative that damages the motorsport on long term,” said team owner Picko Troberg.
SBF has along with track owners and racing clubs started a company in order to run a new championship in direct competition of the STCC.
“The blue jackets can’t think ahead. This is going to mean that we no longer need their services and licenses. The consequence is going to be that SBF’s economy gets hollowed out and that their operation eventually will end. I am afraid that this is more of a personal vendetta from the chairman of the blue jackets than a factual debate. We, the teams of STCC, are more than ever in need of peace and quite to secure both the economy and the implementation,” said Troberg.
No other STCC teams have voiced their opinion in the matter yet. Should SBF go ahead with their plans, previously reported about here, to run a new championship for the same cars as STCC, the decision lies in the hands of STCC teams, Polestar Racing, WestCoast Racing, Brovallen Design, Picko Troberg Racing, Dacia Dealer Team/MA:GP, PWR Racing and Team Tidö to chose. STCC or SBF.
