SBF and STCC signs four-year deal

The Swedish Automobile Sports Federation (SBF) and STCC AB have signed a four-year deal.
“We have found a new ground to stand together on with SBF ahead of the future and we are going to work together to strengthen the trust of Swedish racing,” said Bob Huzell, Managing Director of STCC AB.

It was only a couple of weeks ago that SBF and STCC were in a war, with SBF planning to start a competing championship, should a deal not have been found between the two.
“Swedish motorsport has gone through a long and turbulent period, but we can establish that something really good has come out of this,” said Huzell.

The four-year deal with SBF means that STCC has got the official Swedish Championship status.
“We have anchored this deal with our drivers, clubs, teams and circuit owners and we look forward to continue our cooperation with STCC. It is important for us to have a good partner that helps the development of our Swedish Championship and top level racing,” said Thomas Jansson, Federal Director of SBF.

Rallycross is also included in the new deal with STCC and a new championship will be started next year by STCC to be run alongside the racing championship.
