Robin Rudholm forced to sit out Östersund race

Robin Rudholm is not going to take part in this weekend’s STCC race at Östersund in the north of Sweden.
“It it really a shame that I can’t drive this weekend. There is nothing worse as racing driver than being forced to stand aside,” said Rudholm.

The reason for Rudholm not racing this weekend is budgetary, with sponsors dropping off earlier during the season.
“The location of the race and vacation times at many companies has made it impossible for us to secure his participation for this weekend,” said Dick Jönsson-Wigroth, team manager of BMW Dealer Team WestCoast Racing.

Rudholm came close to not taking part in the previous race at Falkenberg either, but was saved in the last minute thanks to existing sponsors to the team.
“I was aware that this could happen after the sponsor dropout. I am going to keep my fingers crossed that WestCoast Racing get a good weekend in Östersund without me there,” said Rudholm.
