Jocke Mangs after Östersund: “Best race this year”

Jocke Mangs provided an entertaining race in Östersund after making a mistake on the first lap, dropping to last and then pushing his way up to sixth position.
“It was the best race this year. I have to be damn pleased, it was a fun weekend and most of all great to score,” said Mangs.

The Citroën driver qualified seventh as best non Volvo or BMW driver, made a good start and fought for fourth position on the first lap when he made a mistake.
“Fredrik [Larsson] braked really late and I tried to brake later, but I locked up and went off track, resuming in last position,” said Mangs.

Mangs then fought hard to get back and closed in on Richard Göransson for fifth towards the end of the race, but had to settle for sixth.
“I made four really good overtaking maneuvers. It was a fun race, the best this year in terms of how the car felt and the speed we had,” said Mangs.

The Brovallen Design driver is eighth in the championship on 36 points, closest to him is Saab driver Daniel Haglöf in seventh on 43 points.
