Thed Björk first to break 1:04 barrier at Karlskoga

Thed Björk became first STCC driver ever to get below 1:04 around the Karlskoga track in the second STCC test today. The Volvo Polestar Racing driver lapped the track in 1:03.996 and was over two tenths faster than his closest competitor in the form of manufacturer colleague Robert Dahlgren in second.

Team mates Dahlgren and Linus Ohlsson were very close in second and third, with 0.007 seconds separating the Volvo duo. Richard Göransson was once again best BMW driver in fourth position, but over six tenths of a second from the top time.

Fredrik Ekblom claimed fifth position ahead Mattias Andersson with his Dacia SE, just over a second from Björk’s time.

BMW driver Fredrik Larsson claimed position seven ahead of Citroën duo Alx Danielsson and Jocke Mangs. PWR Racing driver Daniel Haglöf was the final driver in the top ten.

The STCC weekend at Karlskoga continues tomorrow with qualifying at 09.00 CET.
