Double pole position for Thed Björk at Karlskoga

There seems to be no stopping Thed Björk in the Scandinavian Touring Car Championship as the Volvo Polestar Racing claimed a double pole position in qualifying for the two races at Karlskoga.

The first Q1 session was close with Björk beating manufacturer colleague Linus Ohlsson with a mere 0.003 seconds for the race one grid. Volvo claimed the top four positions with Robert Dahlgren in third and Fredrik Ekblom in fourth. Richard Göransson became the final driver to make it on to Q3 in fifth position.

Jocke Mangs claimed grid position six for race one ahead of Fredrik Larsson and Mattias Andersson.

Göransson ended the Q2 session with a scare, going off on his final lap, filling his BMW with gravel. The BMW Dealer Team driver managed to make it out in time for Q3, but was far behind, posting a lap time that was 0.834 seconds slower than Björk who claimed pole for race two.

Ekblom was second fastest in Q3, ahead of Ohlsson and Dahlgren. Larsson is going to start sixth for race two, behind team mate Göransson, with Andersson in seventh, Mangs in eighth, Alx Danielsson in ninth and Tomas Engström in tenth.
