Thed Björk heads third Volvo 1-2-3-4 of 2013

Thed Björk continues the Volvo machine in the STCC by claiming his sixth victory and the third Volvo Polestar Racing 1-2-3-4 of the year.
“Wonderful, just wonderful! I could just maintain my lead and my car couldn’t have been better today, a big thanks to the team,” said Björk.

Both Linus Ohlsson and Robert Dahlgren made a better start than Björk, but backed down and slotted in behind Björk in to the first corner.

After the first lap there was no one who could challenge the Volvo drivers, with the four blue cars pulling away. There was a bit of internal fighting as Dahlgren made his way past Ohlsson to second position and gained on Björk towards the end of the race.

BMW duo Richard Göransson and Fredrik Larsson were unable to keep the pace with the leading four drivers. Larsson went past Göransson at mid-point of the race, only to be passed by Göransson a few laps later, with Göransson finishing fifth and Larsson sixth.

Mattias Andersson fought his way past Jocke Mangs to finish seventh, with Mangs in eighth and Daniel Haglöf in ninth. Tomas Engström rounded off the top ten.

Alx Danielsson retired after an off track excursion, as did Alexander Graff, after a hard fight for 12th with Prince Carl Philip Bernadotte.
