Brovallen Design test for Patrik Flodin and Andreas Wernersson

Former Swedish rally champion Patrik Flodin and newly crowned Clio Cup Sweden champion Andreas Wernersson tested for Citroën team Brovallen Design at Tierp Arena last week.
“They were both really skilled, they posted lap times that would have been competitive in the STCC race at Tierp Arena,” said team owner Tobias Johansson.

Flodin is currently racing in V8 Thundercars, a support class to STCC, with a Chevrolet Camaro.
“I haven’t got that much to compare the car to, but the brakes are incredible. The main differences between the Camaro and the STCC car are the brakes and dampers, you can tell that the car has got a proper suspension. If I was to compare with anything, it is like driving a WRC car with asphalt setup, but I have never driven a car with the brake performance of the STCC car before,” said Flodin.

Wernersson was crowned Clio Cup champion at Karlskoga a month ago and had to adjust to the rear-wheel driven Citroën C5.
“To catch a slide in a rear-wheel driven car is completely different to a front-wheel driven car. But overall it went well, the times were better than I expected. With more milage in the car, this could be really good,” said Wernersson.

The team states that the purpose of the test was to give promising drivers a taste of STCC. Flodin, who is one of the most experienced rally drivers in Sweden, is looking set to continue on the race tracks next year while not certain in which class.
“All doors are open right now, currently it feels most likely that I go for racing next year,” said Flodin.
