Philip Forsman to WestCoast Racing for Mantorp Park finale

Philip Forsman is going to make his STCC debut this weekend at Mantorp Park for WestCoast Racing.
“I have been in touch with WestCoast Racing since we did a test last year and we have finally got things together for me to drive the finale,” said Forsman.

The 25-year-old is going to drive a third BMW SR alongside regular drivers Richard Göransson and Fredrik Larsson.
“It is important that we get new drivers to STCC and I am very happy that we could get Philip onboard for this weekend. He has completed two tests for us in the new car, one last year and one a couple of weeks ago. He has done a great job both times,” said team manager Dick Jönsson-Wigroth.

Forsman has previously raced single seaters and most recently Porsche Carrera Cup Scandinavia where he finished second overall last year.
“The most important for me is to show that I can be on pace all weekend and post competitive times. I am going to meet the best drivers in Sweden whom all have driven a lot with this car. But no one has yet raced with the new car at Mantorp, so it feels like a good opportunity to make my debut on and I like Mantorp as a circuit,” said Forsman.

Information to TouringCarTimes suggests that WestCoast Racing could run four cars at Mantorp Park, with a possible return of Robin Rudholm.
