Big step forward for Brovallen Design at Mantorp Park

The STCC finale at Mantorp Park turned out to be the best of 2013 for Brovallen Design and Jocke Mangs who secured two podium finishes.
“I felt it ahead of the weekend that if we do everything right, it could be really good. And it was, we took a big step forward,” said Mangs.

The Citroën driver qualified second for the second race and was involved in the top fight in both races, with the first race featuring a close fight with STCC champion Thed Björk.
“Thed drove fair and well. We both took and gave, it was a really fun race to drive. We had the speed to win, but I am really happy for the team to end the season in this way,” said Mangs.

There was more joy for Brovallen Design as STCC newcomer Andreas Wernersson beat all expectations ahead of the weekend by qualifying fourth for the first race.
“I had a really good car in qualifying, but unfortunately I crashed on my final lap in Q1. The team did a great job to get the car together for the first race, but I had a bit too much understeer to fight for the top positions unfortunately,” said Wernersson.

Wernersson finished ninth in the first race and an impressive sixth in the second race.
“I passed several drivers, it was really tough and fun racing. My goal is to work on this and get something together with the team for next year,” said Wernersson.
