Super Touring Car Trophy set as support class to BTCC
The Super Touring Car Trophy will run as support class to the British Touring Car Championship weekend at Oulton Park on June 7-8.
The trophy is open for cars that took part in the BTCC between 1991 and 2000, meaning mainly Super Touring cars such as the Vauxhall Cavalier and Vectra, Peugeot 407, Nissan Primera, Honda Accord and many more.
Two races will be held during the Oulton Park race weekend of which one will be telivised in ITV4.
Last year’s Super Touring Car Championship attracted a strong field with names such as John Cleland, Tim Harvey and Patrick Watts. The season starts on April 20:
19-20 Apr – Thruxton Easter Revival
07-08 Jun – Oulton Park BTCC
12-13 Jul – Brands Hatch Historic Superprix
25-27 Jul – Silverstone Classic
23-25 Aug – Oulton Park Gold Cup
