Chaz Mostert and Todd Kelly win V8 Supercars demo races in Malaysia

One car of each manufacturer from the V8 Supercars Championship took part in three demonstration races during the Kuala Lumpur City Grand Prix this weekend. Chaz Mostert won the first two races for Prodrive Racing Australia, with Nissan’s Todd Kelly claiming the honors in the third and final race.

The races were of 12 laps each with drivers Mostert, Kelly, Scott McLaughlin, Will Davison and Craig Lowndes fighting hard and swapping positions all the way to the chequered flag.

The demonstration races were held in preparation of a planned championship round next year, likely to take place in August, as a part of a four-year deal between the circuit organisers and the V8 Supercars championship.

The Kuala Lumpur street circuit measures 3.2 kilometers and runs close to the famous Petronas Twin Towers.
