Top Run’s Subaru in an odyssey to get to Singapore

Top Run was hit by a huge setback when plans to deliver the car in time to Singapore failed through a series of inconveniences.

The team’s Subaru was scheduled to fly from Milan to Singapore via Luxembourg, where the car was left on the ground and brought back to Milan due to payload restrictions.

The team therefore tried to fly the car to Seoul, where another plane would have brought the car to Singapore, but incredibly once again things went wrong when the Boieng 747F had to fly back to Italy due to a technical issue.

By the time the plane was fixed, no more scheduled flights were going to Singapore, leaving the team with no option but to fly the Subaru to Kuala Lumpur tonight, to be then tracked down about 200 miles to Singapore. The car is therefore expected to arrive to the track on Saturday morning at the earliest.

With Qualifying scheduled for 15.45 tomorrow, Top Run are crossing fingers the car will arrive in time to at least turn wheels during the session.
