Romeo Ferraris continues Alfa Romeo Giulietta testing at wet Mugello

The newborn Alfa Romeo Giulietta of TCR specification, built by Romeo Ferraris, continued testing at Mugello in wet weather conditions.

The team focused on engine and gearbox mapping and strategies, and the session left team owner Mario Ferraris happy despite the poor weather.

“The Giulietta is very quick, it almost exceeded our expectations,” said Ferraris. “Despite the low temperatures and the poor grip offered by the wet track we clocked some respectable lap times, which testifies how the car is well-balanced.”

The test at Mugello was designed to evaluate the performances of the new car on a longer track. The Giulietta TCR narrowly missed the deadlines for the debut in Macau last year, as the team started testing less than a week after the TCR International Series season finale.
