New sponsor for Rick Kelly’s Nissan Altima in 2016
Rick Kelly will sport new colours for the 2016 V8 Supercars Championship season, with Nissan Motorsport linking up with technology company Sengled for 2016, becoming the new naming rights sponsor of the #15 car, replacing previous sponsor Jack Daniel’s.
After a seven year association with the whiskey brand, Sengled will appear on the now red and silver Altima of Kelly, with carsales.com.au the principal sponsor on team-mate and brother Todd Kelly’s car as it was in the latter part of 2015.
For the team’s other two cars, new driver Dale Wood has brought sponsors GB Galvanising and ADVAM with him from Britek, while Michael Caruso will carry the factory Nissan Nismo branding on the #23 car.
“Innovation and technical development are the backbone of our business and sport so we are very excited to join forces with Sengled Australia,” said Rick Kelly. “Sengled are a business that is passionate about innovation and is pushing the boundaries on research and development to drive success in its field. But when it comes down to it, I just love gadgets and these are some of the coolest gadgets around.”
The first race weekend of the season takes place in Adelaide at the Clipsal 500 on March 3rd-6th, which Kelly is looking forward to.
“So with a new car and new livery, I am really excited to tackle the challenging Adelaide street circuit. We’ve had great preparation coming into the season – something we haven’t always achieved – so I am really excited for the year ahead,” remarked Kelly.
