WestCoast Racing down to two cars for Oschersleben

WestCoast Racing will field just two Honda Civic TCRs this weekend at Oschersleben for drivers Gianni Morbidelli and Mikhail Grachev, with logistical reasons behind the move by the Swedish team. The team fields just two cars for the first time in the TCR International Series’ short history.

Championship contender Morbidelli will again have Grachev racing alongside him for the third consecutive race weekend, while the team’s other car, driven by Kevin Gleason, Alain Menu and Harald Proczyk earlier this season, will remain vacant.

Team principal Greger Petersson confirmed to TouringCarTimes the decision to field just two cars this weekend was due to clashing commitments in Sweden, where the team also prepare and run the three Polestar Cyan Racing Volvo S60s for Robert Dahlgren, Prince Carl Philip Bernadotte and Richard Göransson in the Scandinavian Touring Car Championship. The team are also running three cars in the supporting Formula STCC Nordic championship for Hugo Nerman, Amalie Wichmand and Philip Hall.

The team expect to be back to three cars for the next round of the championship in Sochi, Russia on July 3rd.
