Robert Dahlgren fastest in final Solvalla test
Robert Dahlgren was fastest in the final Scandinavian Touring Car Championship test session at Solvalla, getting somewhat of a phycological advantage over his team-mate and title rival Richard Göransson who was behind him in both test sessions leading up to qualifying.
The Volvo driver lapped the circuit in 43.359, beating SEAT driver Daniel Haglöf, who claimed his maiden STCC victory here last year, by a mere 0.093 seconds.
Things were even closer for third position with Linus Ohlsson, who topped the first session for Flash Engineering, and Göransson being on the very same thousand of a second.
STCC newcomer Philip Morin, who races in the support class Porsche Carrera Cup Scandinavia this weekend as well, continued to delivery strongly with the fifth fastest time, 0.233 seconds from Dahlgren in first position.
Last race winner Björn Wirdheim was sixth fastest, with Mattias Andersson in seventh and Reuben Kressner in eighth.
Qualifying, that awards points to the championship, starts at 17:40 CET.
