SEAT Dealer Team admits Emma Kimiläinen’s car was also missing damper seals

SEAT Dealer Team PWR Racing driver Johan Kristoffersson was disqualified from the STCC races at Karlskoga for missing seals on the dampers. Now the team has admitted that Emma Kimiläinen’s SEAT was also missing seals, something they were not penalised for.

”For example when we told them (STCC AB) that the stickers was missing on Emma’s car they just took note of this and then it was ok?,” said driver and team co-owner Daniel Haglöf.

Kimiläinen has since then been let go of the team while Kristoffersson returns in the STCC finale this weekend after missing the previous race at Solvalla due to a clashing WRX round, as well as losing four points on the disqualification at Karlskoga.

”We as a team has not noted that the stickers was missing. So we have also made a mistake contributing to the loss of the four points,” said Haglöf. ”If we would have had better results on the weekend we would have been forced to take the matter further and make it into something legal. But I am glad that we don´t have to do that, we here to race not to be in court.”

The STCC season finale takes place this weekend at Knutstorp.
