New BTCC season set to burst into life at Autosport International

A number of BTCC announcements are expected to be made in the coming days when the Autosport International Show gets underway at the NEC in Birmingham on Thursday.

At least three drivers are set to be revealed by their respective teams on the opening day of the event, with a number of liveries also set to appear in public for the first time.

AmDTuning.com is currently scheduled to be the first team to expand on its plans for 2017, with an announcement due shortly after the show opens on the identity of the driver who will partner Ollie Jackson in an expanded two-car team.

Team Dynamics will then take the wraps off the 2017 Honda Civic Type-R, with further livery reveals following from Handy Motorsport and Matt Simpson.

Motorbase’s all-new Shredded Wheat livery is to be given it’s public debut on the opening morning of the show, where the remaining two drivers with the team will also be announced.

The morning will then be wrapped up with the unveiling of the WSR-run Pirtek Racing BMW 125i M Sport of Andrew Jordan.

With a number of other drivers in attendance, further news is also expected across the four days as teams finalise their plans for the year ahead.
