Fredrik Ekblom starts Karlskoga weekend on top

Fredrik Ekblom started the STCC weekend at Karlskoga on top by being fastest in the first test, heading his Kristoffersson Motorsport team-mate Johan Kristoffersson by 0.123 seconds.

Championship leader Robert Dahlgren claimed position three, a mere 0.046 seconds behind Kristoffersson in his PWR Racing-prepared SEAT León.

Andreas Ahlberg showed promising form for Micke Kågered Racing in fourth position, just two tenths from the top.

Fredrik Blomstedt made it four Volkswagens in the top five positions for Kristoffersson Motorsport while Finnish driver Joonas Lappalainen was fastest of the Audi drivers in sixth, 0.358 seconds behind.

Lestrup Racing’s Albin Wärnelöv and Brink Motorsport’s Micke Ohlsson rounded off the top eight, all covered within six tenths of a second.

Next up is the second test, starting at 12:30 CEST tomorrow.
