Joonas Lappalainen penalised for post-race contact with Tobias Brink

Joonas Lappalainen has been penalised for hitting Audi colleague Tobias Brink after the second STCC race at Karlskoga was over.

The Finn was given a five-place grid penalty for the third and final race of the Karlskoga weekend, dropping him from sixth to eleventh position on the grid.

Lappalainen hit the rear of Brink while braking for the first turn after the chequered flag. The Cart In Club Driving Academy driver claimed that the contact was unintentional, an explanation the stewards did not accept.

The two drivers were seen exchanging hard words in the pits after the second race.
