Robert Dahlgren: ”We dominated this time”

Robert Dahlgren has taken a big step toward his maiden STCC title after a strong weekend at Karlskoga, heading the drivers’ championship by 40 points over main rival Fredrik Ekblom.

”We have seen them (Kristoffersson Motorsport) dominate and finishing 1-2, this time it was our turn,” said Dahlgren.

The PWR Racing driver won the first and last race at Karlskoga but is not taking out anything in advance, despite leading comfortably with just two race weekends left.

”We need to score in each race and do a good job, we can’t afford anything else. There are skilled drivers and teams fighting in the top,” said Dahlgren.

Kristoffersson Motorsport driver Ekblom finished second in the first race, won the second and crossed the line in third, dropping further ground on Dahlgren.

”It is difficult, tough and frustrating. It is going to be tough in the coming races, but we will of course give everything we got. I am disappointed, but PWR Racing has done a great job this weekend,” said Ekblom.

”Another thing is that we need to qualify better. I was 2-2-3 in qualifying, that isn’t enough in this gang.”
