Title rivals Fredrik Ekblom and Robert Dahlgren close in first Mantorp test
Title rivals Fredrik Ekblom of Volkswagen and Robert Dahlgren of SEAT topped the first test of the Mantorp Park STCC finale weekend, with Ekblom beating Dahlgren by almost three tenths of a second.
Dahlgren’s PWR Racing team-mate Daniel Haglöf was third fastest, 0.316 seconds behind, while Ekblom’s Kristoffersson Motorsport team-mate Fredrik Blomstedt was fourth fastest, 0.755 seconds behind.
Nicklas Oscarsson showed promising form for TeamA Teknik with his Kia Cee’d by claiming the fifth fastest time, 0.880 seconds from P1.
Albin Wärnelöv was the first driver outside one second from the top time in sixth position for Lestrup Racing, with local driver Mattias Andersson claiming position seven.
Fastest of the Audi drivers was Tobias Brink, heading team-mate Micke Ohlsson in eighth position while Reuben Kressner, also driving an Audi RS 3 LMS, of Brovallen Motorsport rounded off the top ten.
