Will Burns discharged from hospital after Silverstone crash

Team Hard’s Will Burns has been discharged from hospital following his huge crash in the first British Touring Car Championship race of the day at Silverstone.

Burns suffered fractures to his ribs and bruising to his lung following the accident in the opening encounter, where his Volkswagen CC was collected by Rob Collard’s out-of-control BMW 125i.

Burns was airlifted to University Hospital Coventry and Warwickshire and has since tweeted a picture following his discharge.
