TCR Italy adds Paul Ricard in seven-event 2018 calendar

TCR Italy has published the new calendar of the 2018 season, whose most prominent feature is a trip to France at Paul Ricard, which is set to host the revived French Grand Prix of the Formula One World Championship.

There will be two visits to the Temple of Speed at Monza, just like in 2017, with the iconic track set to host the season finale. The curtain raiser will be held at Imola on April 29th, before the series goes to France on May, 13th. The first visit at Monza is scheduled for June, 3rd, two weeks before going to Misano for the fourth event of the season.

Mugello will host the fifth round of the championship on July 15th, before the summer break. Action will resume at Vallelunga on September, 16th, with another lengthy one-month break before the season finale at Monza.

The new calendar rules out the Adria International Raceway, which had previously hosted the inaugural event of the 2017 season. Most events will be shared with the Italian GT Championship, which is also organised by ACI Sport.
