WIX Filters named as Eurotech title sponsor

Following news that it would revert to running Honda engines again in 2018, Eurotech Racing has now confirmed a new title sponsor for the upcoming season in the shape of WIX Filters.

The new deal will see the cars of Jack Goff and Brett Smith entered under the WIX Racing with Eurotech banner, with the company also retaining a small scale deal with Ciceley Motorsport – who ran under the WIX Racing banner from 2014-16.

With WIX having also backed Rob Austin in the past, the 2018 season will mark the first time that the company has backed a multi-car BTCC programme.

“We are very much looking forward to starting a new era with Eurotech,” WIX Filters managing director Dave Warren said, “and are intrigued to see what this season brings, especially with the newly confirmed deal using Honda engines.”

The new-look Eurotech cars will shortly start pre-season testing before a public debut at the annual Media Day event at Donington Park next month.

“I am over the moon to be working with WIX in the 2018 BTCC season,” lead driver Goff said. “They have an amazing heritage in the world of motorsport and I can’t wait to be the next person to represent them on and off track. It’s fair to say the cars look stunning as is always the case with the WIX Racing cars.”
