DSG Challenge will be introduced for 2018 TCR Europe season

The TCR Europe organiser has announced the introduction of a DSG Challenge for the 2018 season, reserved for drivers competing with cars that are fitted with a Direct-Shift (DSG) gearbox.

The ten best drivers of each race will be awarded points according to the same scale as the overall results, meaning 25 points for the winner, then 18, 15, 12, 10, 8, 6, 4, 2 and 1.

The best classified DSG driver will also be invited onto the podium alongside the top three overall drivers.

The overall prize for the winning DSG driver at the end of the season will be revealed by the organisation in due course.
