Stian Paulsen and Attila Tassi get drive through penalties

Cupra’s Stian Paulsen and Honda’s Attila Tassi were given post-race drive through penalties for two separate incidents in the first race at Spa-Francorchamps.

The Dane made contact with Reece Barr on the second lap, causing the Irishman to retire. The stewards deemed him to be responsible of the incident and demoted him from sixth to 14th.

That would have promoted Tassi into the points, but the young Hungarian was also punished for having touched Jens Reno Møller at Eau Rouge, sending him into a dangerous high-speed spin, which luckily had no consequences. The Honda driver was therefore classified 17th, which promotes Cedric Piro into the top ten, awarding the German his first point of the season.
