Pole man Ash Sutton amongst early hard runners

Pole position man Ash Sutton is amongst the drivers to have decided to run the harder compound tyre early during Sunday’s BTCC races at Croft.

Although the hard tyre is expected to be slower than the regular prime rubber, it is also expected to last longer around the abrasive North Yorkshire circuit, which will make tyre management key.

Sutton and Tom Ingram are the two front-runners who will run the tyre early, with the likes of Jack Goff and Adam Morgan hoping to use the hard tyre to their advantage to work up the grid from tough qualifying positions.

Rob Collard is the main fancied runner to have chosen the hard tyre for race two, with the majority of the field deciding to run it at the last available opportunity in race three.
