Track limits infringement to blame for Kris Richard’s post-qualifying penalty

Target Competition’s Kris Richard had his best time from the second qualifying session disallowed following a stewards investigation into track limits infringements between turns one and two.

The Swiss driver was penalised ten grid positions after it turned out his second-best time (a 1m54.530) was good enough for tenth on the grid, which would, therefore, have placed him on pole position for Sunday’s Race 2.

Richard finished the opening race of the weekend in eighth place after being forced to start from tenth and will start tomorrow’s second race from 11th place.
