Chris Pither and Richard Muscat retained as co-drivers for GRM

Garry Rogers Motorsport has retained Chris Pither and Richard Muscat as co-drivers for the 2019 Supercars Championship endurance races.

Pither is set to partner Richie Stanaway and Muscat James Golding.

“Richard would stay with Golding, they ran together last year and did a pretty reasonable job, and they’re similar sizes,” said team manager Barry Rogers to Supercars.com.

“And as much as Pither’s taller than Stanaway, they have driven together so they can get in the car and be comfortable. Richard’s been a part of what we’ve done now for three or four years and has done a good job for us. And Chris off the back of winning Super2 last year, he did a fantastic job there, there’d be no reason to replace him.”

Pither won the Super2 Series last year for GRM and is currently racing in the TCR Australia series in a Renault Megane RS TCR for the team.

Muscat is racing in the Lamborghini Super Trofeo Asia series this year and finished fifth overall in that series last year.
