TCR Denmark season opener moved two weeks

Due to the global coronavirus pandemic, the first race of the inaugural TCR Denmark series season has been rescheduled to the 2-3rd of May. The season opener was originally scheduled to take place on FDM Jyllandsringen on the 18-19th of April.

“We obviously regret any issues this move may cause to both the spectators and competitors, but we are monitoring the situation closely and follow official recommendations,” said Betina Engholm, head of department at FDM Jyllandsringen.

“The Danish motorsport calendar involves many parties, and the new dates leaves adequate space between the races.”

The programme for the race weekend remain unchanged, which sees the inaugural round of TCR Denmark taking place alongside Super GT Denmark, Danish Endurance Championship, DS3 Cup and Special Saloon Car.

There is currently no information that further postponements will be implemented, but the TCR Denmark organiser is monitoring the situation closely.

“The health and well-being of our spectators and competitors are of our highest concern. We are prepared to do what is needed, if the corona pandemic continues,” said Engholm.
