Potential Hyundai Elantra TCR model spied

Spy photos of what looks to be a Hyundai Elantra TCR model testing in heavy camouflage wrapping have emerged, hinting at a possible third TCR model from the South Korean manufacturer.

Hyundai unveiled the highly successful i30 N TCR model in 2017, followed by the Veloster N TCR in 2019.

There is so far no official word from Hyundai on the spy shots, but the car carries the TCR trademarks of the hood vents, front splitter, rear wing and wheels.

The seventh generation Elantra model is based on the same platform as the i30 and is sold as the i30 sedan in Australia.

The size of the Elantra is almost identical to the Lynk & Co 03 TCR, 2,720mm/2,730mm in wheelbase and 4650mm/4657mm in length.
