Weight and power changes for Alfa, Hyundai, Kia, MG, Subaru and Volkswagen

WSC, the TCR rights holder, has issued a number of changes to the Balance of Performance weights, power levels and minimum ride height for cars from Alfa Romeo, Audi, Cupra, Hyundai, Kia, MG, Subaru and Volkswagen.

The changes have been introduced following the completion of the BoP procedures that have been delayed due to the coronavirus pandemic.

The changes are based on calculations from engine dyno, wind tunnel and centre of gravity tests, while the BoP track test being cancelled due to the pandemic.

The Alfa Romeo Giulietta Veloce TCR and Subaru STI TCR have had 30kg removed, with the Italian car also getting a ride height reduction of 10mm.

The Hyundai i30 N TCR and the MG XPOWER TCR have both had 20kg removed, with the Hyundai also getting its power reduced to 95% from 97,5%.

The Hyundai Veloster N TCR has had 10kg removed with no change to the ride height.

The Audi RS 3 LMS, Cupra TCR, Kia Cee’d TCR and Volkswagen Golf GTI TCR have all had 10kg added, but received a reduction of 10mm to the ride height, bar the Kia.

The Alfa Romeo Giulietta RF TCR has received a 30kg increase and an engine power level increase from 100% to 102,5%.

All other cars remain at previously announced levels.
