Teddy Clairet loses ninth following 30-second penalty

Team Clairet Sport Peugeot driver Teddy Clairet has been stripped of his ninth place finish from the second TCR Europe series race at Zolder after receiving a 30-second penalty.

Clairet had been involved in a first-lap incident with Brutal Fish Racing driver Martin Ryba, which forced the Honda Civic Type-R TCR driver into a spin at the Boutsen chicane.

The stewards investigated a three incidents from the second race, of which the Clairet/Ryba was the only to produce a penalty.

Clairet therefore dropped from ninth to 18th in the final results.

The stewards also investigated the start incident between Target Competition’s Andreas Bäckman and JSB Compétition’s Julien Briché as well as last-lap contact between the BRC Racing Hyundai of Mat’o Homola and Sami Taoufik’s Comtoyou Racing Audi RS 3 LMS.

Neither of these incidents warranted any further action.
