Ronnie Bremer to head 2021 TPR Motorsport line-up

TPR Motorsport has confirmed plans to run a two-car entry into the 2021 TCR Denmark series led by the experienced figure of Ronnie Bremer.

Whilst the team had originally aimed to run a multi-car programme this season, it has so far run just one Honda Civic Type R for Casper Elgaard – who took four wins during the double header race meeting at Jyllandsringen.

With Elgaard having agreed a deal to join Peugeot for 2021, TPR has now moved quickly to sign a replacement with the announcement that Bremer will come in to lead the team, with William Nyberg – son of team boss Toni Persic – set to drive a second car.

“I’m sure Ronnie will make a big difference on our team,” Persic said. “We are here to run for the title, and that is clearly our goal. He brings a lot of experience and knowledge to our team, and it will be super important for us.

“It is super exciting to get William out to drive in TCR. He has made a good figure in the cars so far, and it is probably always the case that if you go up in motorsport, then you also want to see your son do well on the track. I know he can.

“We got into this season really well with Casper, who has done a great job for us. It is a pity that we have to go out and fight against him who taught us so much – but that is motorsport.”
