Kasper Jensen claims superior pole for Jyllandsringen finale

Championship leader Kasper Jensen claimed a superior pole position for the first race of the Jyllandsringen TCR Denmark season finale, beating the LM Racing duo of Nicolai Sylvest and Jan Magnussen by seven and nine tenths of a second respectively.

Peugeot driver Michael Markussen was fourth fastest, 1.2 seconds behind, with Jensen’s team-mate Kenn Bach in fifth.

Insight Racing driver Jacob Mathiassen put his Alfa Romeo Giulietta TCR in sixth position on the grid ahead of the sole Hyundai driver of the field, Martin Andersen.

Kristian Moe Sætheren rounded off the top eight, close to two seconds from pole position.

The field struggled with a slippery surface due to a large oil spill on the circuit from one of the support classes.

The first race of the day starts at 12:35 CEST.
