Australian outing for TCR New Zealand winner

Organisers of the new TCR New Zealand series have confirmed that the winner of the 2021 season will be awarded a free entry into one of the remaining rounds of the TCR Australia season.

The announcement will provide the inaugural winner of the New Zealand series with the chance to compete on Australian soil at an event of their choosing, which includes the Bathurst International event.

TCR New Zealand will be run across three meetings in March and April.

“TCR New Zealand is about breading talent and providing pathways for New Zealand drivers,” category manager Lindsay Dodd said. “Having a strong connection with TCR Australia is naturally going to be beneficial to our drivers and open up opportunities for them to advance their careers.

“This prize, worth around $5,000 AUD, will remove one of the cost barriers to competing in what could be one of the biggest TCR events globally should they chose the Bathurst International event.”
