Colin Turkington inherits pole as Gordon Shedden excluded

Colin Turkington will start the opening race of the weekend at Snetterton from pole after Gordon Shedden was excluded from the second BTCC qualifying session of the year.

The Scot had topped the times for Team Dynamics but an issue with the angle of the rear wing on his Civic Type R resulted in officials taking the decision to exclude him from the results.

Shedden will now start from the back of the grid as a result, with Turkington inheriting a second successive Snetterton pole, with Tom Ingram moving up to join him on the front row.
