Juan Angel Rosso and Matías Milla claims close Buenos Aires pole position

Squadra Martino claimed the first two grid spots in qualifying for the TCR South America endurance race at Buenos Aires. The duo of Juan Angel Rosso and Matías Milla will start from pole, beating team-mates José Manuel Sapag and Esteban Guerrieri by 0.008 seconds.

The qualifying consisted of two 15-minute sessions with regular drivers in the first one and the invited co-drivers taking part in the second one. The merged lap time of each duo is used to form the starting grid.

The first session was red flagged as PropCar Alfa Romeo driver Javier Manta came to a halt on track due to a technical issue.

Nestor Girolami and Raphael Reis (W2 Racing) will line up third on the grid ahead of Rodrigo Baptista and Tom Coronel (Audi.

Points leader Pepe Oriola, who is partnered by TCR Europe entrant Martin Ryba, ended up in fifth position, 1.3 seconds from pole.

The endurance race is scheduled for Saturday at 16:00 local time/20:00 CET, running for 40 laps or 60 minutes with mandatory driver changes.
