Fabricio Pezzini beats Santiago Urrutia to pole position

Fabricio Pezzini beat PMO Motorsport team-mate Santiago Urrutia to a Lynk & Co 03 TCR 1-2 in the TCR South America qualifying session at Alta Gracia’s Autódromo Oscar Cabalén.

A mere 41 thousands of a second separated the two, with W2 Racing driver Rafael Reis far behind in third place, 1.4 seconds from pole.

Ernesto Bessone made it three PMO cars in the top three, making his Peugeot 308TCR debut this weekend with the fourth fastest time in qualifying.

Title contender Rodrigo Baptista was fifth fastest behind the wheel of his Cobra Racing prepared Audi RS 3 LMS, over two seconds from pole.

Points leader Pepe Oriola (Honda) meanwhile qualified seventh behind José Manuel Sapag.

The first race of the weekend starts at 08:00 local time/12:00 CET tomorrow.
