PMO Motorsport confirms two Peugeots for Juan Manuel Casella and Enrique Maglione

PMO Motorsport has confirmed two Peugeots for Uruguayan drivers Juan Manuel Casella and Enrique Maglione in TCR South America this year.

The duo tested their Peugeot 308TCRs for the first time at the Autódromo Juan y Oscar Gálvez last week and both drivers made one-off appearances in the championship last year, with Maglione racing for Scuderia CJ at Riviera, claiming two top ten finishes.

“The truth is I am very happy to have reached an agreement with the team,” said Maglione.

“When I raced at Riviera last year with the Hyundai, I was impressed by the level of the category. And the test that we did last week in Buenos Aires was key in making the decision to take part in the 2022 season.”

Casella made his championship debut with Squadra Martino at Autódromo Víctor Borrat Fabini, a race weekend that unfortunately ended early due to technical issues.

“I am very happy to be able to join TCR South America,” said Casella.

“Last year I couldn’t race due to different issues, but I was very satisfied with my experience of the cars and the organisation. For this year we have been able to get a deal with PMO Motorsport to drive the full season except for the first race due to another commitment.”

The Peugeot programme will be run alongside PMO Motorsport’s three-car Lynk & Co squad that was announced two weeks ago.
