Nicolai Sylvest claims Ring Djursland pole position

Green Development driver Nicolai Sylvest claimed pole position for the second TCR Denmark round of 2022 at Ring Djursland, beating reining champion Kasper Jensen by close to three tenths of a second.

Alfa Romeo driver Jacob Mathiassen made it three different manufacturers in the top three, just 0.092 seconds behind Jensen.

Cupra driver Michael Markussen was fourth fastest ahead of the Audi pair of Rene Povlsen and Allan Kristensen.

GMB Motorsport driver Gustav Birch was seventh fastest behind the wheel of his Honda Civic Type R TCR, while Kristian Sætheren rounded off the top eight for Insight Racing.

TPR Motorsport driver Mike Halder had a nightmare session, going off due to a puncture in the Q1 session and will start 18th and last.

The first race of the weekend starts 10:25 CEST tomorrow.
