Kasper Jensen snares Copenhagen pole position

Reigning TCR Denmark champion Kasper Jensen took his Honda Civic Type R TCR to pole position on the streets of Danish capital Copenhagen.

Jensen lapped the narrow circuit in 1:06.399, beating Cupra driver Michael Markussen a full 0.264 seconds.

Former F1 driver and points leader Jan Magnussen made it two Cupras in the top three, securing third place, four tenths from pole.

Jensen’s GMB Motorsport team-mate Gustav Birch secured fourth ahead of German racer Mike Halder in fifth.

Silas Rytter took his Hyundai i30 N TCR to sixth place ahead of Honda driver Kevin Brandsborg in seventh, while former points leader Kevin Engman rounded off the top eight, more than 1.3 seconds from pole.

The first race of the weekend starts at 17:00 CEST today.
