Kasper Jensen cruises home to Jyllandsringen finale Race 1 win

Kasper Jensen made it look easy in the first TCR Denmark race of the Jyllandsringen season finale, heading home Jan Magnussen to further extend his championship lead.

The GMB Motorsport driver started from pole and never looked back, winning the race close to two seconds ahead of Magnussen after 13 laps.

The top three positions were unchanged in the race, with Nicolai Sylvest completing the podium.

Mike Halder (Audi) managed to get past both Kevin Engman (Audi) and Gustav Birch (Honda) to finish fourth ahead while Birch had to settle for firth and Engman sixth.

Michael Markussen (Cupra) was the sole retirement of the race after going off into the gravel trap.

Jensen’ victory means that the Honda driver heads the standings on 334 points, with Halder second on 284 while Sylvest and Magnussen share third on 279 points.

With 54 points left to fight for and a margin of 50 points between Jensen and Halder, the reigning champion can secure the title in Race 2 which starts at 14:35 CEST.
