Kody Garland ruled out from Sydney weekend after practice crash

Kody Garland has been ruled out from the remaining part of the Sydney Motorsport Park race weekend following a big off in the first free practice session.

The Garry Rogers Motorsport driver went off at high speed in Turn 1 due to what seemed to be a technical failure, hitting the wall hard and sustaining heavy front-end damage.

The team has confirmed that Garland, who escaped unharmed, is unable to take part in any further sessions this weekend due to the severity of the damage.

This means the joint TCR World Tour and TCR Australia field is down to 23 cars for the remaining part of the weekend.
