Tobias Brink tops final day of Ljungbyhed testing

Tobias Brink headed Brink Motorsport team-mates Jimmy Eriksson and Mikael Karlsson to make it a Tesla 1-2-3 in the final day of official STCC pre-season testing at Ljungbyhed.

Brink lowered Viktor Gustavsson’s best time of yesterday by close to three tenths with 56.253, beating Eriksson in today’s three test sessions by two tenths of a second.

Karlsson was third fastest in the white and blue Tesla Model 3 of Brink Motorsport, just 66 thousands of a second slower than his team-mate.

Robert Dahlgren was fastest of the non-Tesla drivers in third place, 0.362 seconds behind the top time behind the wheel of his PWR Racing prepared Cupra Born.

Dahlgren headed team-mate Axel Bengtsson who claimed the fifth fastest time, half a second from Brink’s time.

Yesterday’s front-runner Viktor Gustavsson (Volkswagen) could only manage the sixth fastest time overall today, 0.534 seconds adrift, heading Exion Racing team-mates Ola Nilsson and Alexander Graff.

A couple drivers had offs during the day, including Graff and Calle Bergman (BMW), resulting in front bodywork damage.

The STCC field heads to Knutstorp for the final day of official pre-season testing tomorrow.
