Kasper Jensen beats Mike Halder in wet first Rudskogen race
Reigning TCR Denmark champion Kasper Jensen won a very wet first race of the weekend at Rudskogen in Norway, beating main rival Mike Halder.
The Honda driver started from pole and took the lead into Turn 1, with TPR Motorsport driver Halder close behind.
Jensen pulled away initially, only for Halder to reel him in as the race neared its end.
But the German driver never got close enough, with Jensen winning the race by seven tenths of a second.
Jensen’s young team-mate Malte Ebdrup fought his way from tenth on the grid to claim a strong third place finish.
Cupra driver Michael Markussen also had to fight his way up through the field, having stalled at the start which dropped him from third on the grid to the back.
Markussen managed to finish fourth, five seconds behind Ebdrup.
René Povlsen and Jacob Wunderov rounded off the top six.
Two further races are scheduled for Sunday, starting at 13:45 and 14:45 CEST respectively.
