Dusan Borkovic jumps to the top in final free practice at Interlagos

Dusan Borkovic jumped to the top of the timing sheets after his very last lap in the second FIA TCR World Tour free practice session at Interlagos, beating Audi driver John Filippi by 0.153 seconds.

Esteban Guerrieri was third fastest for GOAT Racing Honda, 0.183 seconds from team-mate Borkovic, while the Hyundai pair of Norbert Michelisz and Mikel Azcona improved their pace from FP1 to set identical lap times for positions four and five.

Juan Manuel Casella (Honda) was fastest of the TCR South America drivers in sixth place, 0.568 seconds from Borkovic, with Néstor Girolami in seventh.

Uruguayan driver Santiago Urrutia (Lynk & Co), who topped the first practice session, rounded off the top eight, six tenths from the top time.

The red flags were brought out towards the end of the session as Fabio Casagrande came to a halt on track and the session was resumed with a couple of minutes left as the Honda had been cleared.

Next up is qualifying, starting at 15:00 local time/20:00 CEST.
